Okehampton....

_Our Bed and Breakfast offers a great stopover location for tired and weary travellers, cyclists and walkers, however for those who are looking to stay around for a few days we are perfectly situated for exploring this stunning, peaceful and lesser known area of Devon. Okehampton is often described as the walkers side of Dartmoor with the highest and most dramatic Tors within walking distance of our door. Off  and on road cyclists will be spoilt for choice and joggers and runners looking to explore this amazing area will not be dissappointed. We are ideally located to provide accommodation for anyone involved in the annual Ten Tors challenge in May or the Okehampton Agricultural Show in August.

The Town Centre of Okehampton is just a few minutes walk from our door, with its array of small shops and plethora of cosy cafes, including an original Victorian Arcade, Museum of Dartmoor Life, the beautiful Simmons Park with Riverside Walk and ruined Castle. Venture further afield and there are magical oak woodlands that are carpeted in glorious wild flowers and bluebells in Spring. Wander a little further and you will amazed by the weird and wonderful forms of the weathered granite outcrops that litter the Dartmoor National Park.  With opportunities to experience a whole host of other activities you will not fail to enjoy your stay...you may even need to return to experience more!
